Projectors and Projection Screens
4K laser projectors and motorised, fixed and acoustically transparent screens, matched to your room, your seating and your light.
Projector categories
We specify a category for the room, then confirm the exact model in the proposal.
4K laser projectors
Laser light sources hold brightness for a long time and start quickly. A popular choice for dedicated rooms and mixed-use rooms.
Home theatre projectors
Lamp or laser models built for dark rooms, where contrast and black level matter most.
High-brightness projection
For rooms with ambient light. Output must match the image size, screen surface and the light level.
Ultra-short-throw projectors
Sit close to the screen wall in a cabinet. Useful in short rooms or where a ceiling mount is not possible.
8K options
Native 8K content is scarce, and 4K is the practical resolution for most rooms. We recommend 8K only when the source, screen and viewing distance justify it.
Screen types
Fixed-frame screens
A tensioned frame gives the flattest surface and the most consistent image. Often the first choice for a dedicated room.
Motorised projection screens
Drop down for use and disappear afterwards. Good for multipurpose rooms. Flatness and edge masking vary by model.
Acoustically transparent screens
Tiny perforations let the front speakers sit behind the image, so sound comes from the picture.
Ambient-light-rejecting screens
Where appropriate, special surfaces help keep contrast in rooms that cannot be fully darkened. They work best with the right projector position.
Aspect ratios
16:9 suits mixed content. 2.35:1 or 2.40:1 screens suit widescreen films. Many rooms use 16:9 or 17:9 and let the picture fill the width. Compare real dimensions with the screen size calculator.
HDR and source integration
Projector, processor and source devices need to agree on resolution, HDR format and audio return. We plan the HDMI chain and test it with your sources before handover.
How big should the screen be?
A larger image is more immersive, up to the point where it is uncomfortable to follow.
Where does the projector go?
Projector and screen selector
Enter your room and how you use it. This is a preliminary direction. Final compatibility depends on the specific equipment specifications and the room conditions.
Projector and screen questions
Do I need an 8K projector?
Usually not. Native 8K content is limited, and the difference from 4K depends on screen size and viewing distance. A well-calibrated 4K projector with a good screen is the more sensible investment for most rooms.
Will any projector work with any screen?
No. Brightness, throw ratio, lens shift, screen gain and surface all interact. Compatibility is confirmed against the datasheets of the specific equipment and the room conditions.
What does HDR need?
HDR needs a projector and source that both support the format, such as HDR10, HLG or Dolby Vision where available, along with correct settings. Projectors map HDR to their own brightness, so calibration matters.
